The EAOP Application is open!

We are accepting 10th and 11th grade applications.*

*Please note: At some schools, 10th & 11th grade applicants are considered for admission if space is available. If your school is not listed, do not complete the application.

Program Eligibility

The Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP) is completely FREE. Applicants must be enrolled at a UCLA EAOP partner school (view School Partner List) in order to be considered.

Application is open to 9th, 10th and 11th grade students.

Students must meet at least two of the following criteria to apply:

  • Low family income
  • First-generation status (meaning first in their family to complete a four-year college degree)
  • English-learner status
  • Historically underrepresented in higher education
  • Enrollment at a high-needs K–12 school (as defined by high percentages of students at the school being low-income, English-learners, or foster youth)

And have the following minimum GPAs:

  • 9th grade: 2.5 LAUSD UW GPA (Cumulative)
  • 10th grade: 2.7 LAUSD UW GPA (Cumulative)
  • 11th grade: 3.0 UC GPA

How to Apply

  1. Apply if you meet Program Eligibility
  2. Complete all required fields in the application (link below)
  3. You may answer the following optional question in the application: "Tell us why you want to join EAOP."
  4. After submitting the Online Application, complete the UCOP Waiver and Parent Authorization Form

    After Submitting the Online Application

    After you submit the online application, your parent or legal guardian must sign the UCOP Waiver and Parent Authorization Form.

    Please have your parent or legal guardian use the following links to complete the waivers. Your parent or legal guardian must have an email address in order to complete the waivers online.

    Requesting Paper Waivers

    If your parent or legal guardian does not have an email address to complete the waivers online, please email us at eaopinfo@eaop.ucla.edu to request a copy to be emailed to you. You can also request a hard copy from your EAOP Representative or DCAC Advisor at your school site.
