UC Application Commuter Bootcamp

UCLA EAOP invites seniors to begin their UC application on the UCLA campus. EAOP staff provide a detailed walkthrough of the application mechanics. Additionally, students receive tips and strategies on how to present their best selves in the activity & awards section and how to answer the Personal Insight Questions.

Writing Foundations Bootcamp (Summer Residential Program)

UCLA EAOP knows that reading comprehension, analysis, and strong writing is essential for academic success. Rising sophomores and juniors are selected to participate in this 3-day/2-night residential writing program. Students spent their time developing strong writing skills necessary to produce quality writing.

AP Bootcamp (Summer Residential Program)

UCLA EAOP knows that to become a competitive college applicant, students must take on more rigorous coursework (among other things). The program is a two week-long skill building preparatory course designed to develop key skills necessary for the rigors of Advanced Placement coursework. Students build confidence by developing familiarity with key concepts (common questions, timed writing, notetaking, etc.) and demystifying what it means to take an Advanced Placement course.

Parent Ambassador (Summer Residential Program)

UCLA Early Academic Outreach Program’s (EAOP) Parent Ambassador is a 2-day/1-night residential program for parents/guardians to receive training on the four systems of higher education and financial aid. Parents/guardians learned college preparatory information and become educational college advocates.
