Middle School

The UCLA Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP) works with a cohort of students to help them become competitively eligible applicants for college admission, going beyond minimum eligibility. EAOP will work with students throughout their middle school career. As an EAOP student you will receive our EAOP Core Services.

Join EAOP Middle School

The Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP) is completely FREE. Applicants must be enrolled at a UCLA EAOP partner school (view School Partner List) in order to be considered.

Application is open to 7th, and 8th grade students.

Students must meet at least two of the following criteria to apply:

  • Low family income
  • First-generation status (meaning first in their family to complete a four-year college degree)
  • English-learner status
  • Historically underrepresented in higher education
  • Enrollment at a high-needs K–12 school (as defined by high percentages of students at the school being low-income, English-learners, or foster youth)

And have the following minimum LAUSD UW GPAs:

  • 8th grade: 2.5+
  • 7th grade: 2.3+
